Stock Investor provides both Price Data for technical analysis, Fundamental Data for fundamental analysis and News Data for its Headlines services.
In order to do this it needs up-to-date, reliable data from a wide range of exchanges, in a format compatible with Stock Investor.
When you purchased Stock Investor you also received a data account from the HUBB Organization. This will provide electronic data, delivered over the internet and up-dated daily, and is the critical factor in your Stock Investor market analysis.
The connection to the HUBB data server, and the establishment of your data account, takes place during the registration dialog sequence of the Startup Wizard.

The price and system data on your machine is managed in number of different ways. It also is installed on your machine, and kept up to date, in a number of different ways.
Understanding what happens when data is downloaded on your machine at the following four points will help you to understand why certain data management tasks must be regularly performed:

Data management of both your price data and system data is not entirely automated.
There are various settings available so that you are periodically reminded to perform certain tasks, and the retrieval of price data can be set to automatic as well as manual.
