Interest Rates

Interests are used by the models within Stock Investor to calculate option fair-values and volatility.

To view the current interest rate settings click Interest Rates from the Edit menu.

A list of current interest rates for the markets you have selected are maintained by HUBB and distributed to users as system data.

The interest rates used can be entered manually by the user, or downloaded from HUBB via the Update Manager.

Interest rates that are downloaded are drawn from 90 day bank bill and Treasury note yields.

User Defined Rates

Users may define there own rates of interest. First select the button next to User Defined and then move the cursor over a number in the row. A text entry box will open:

Type in the new rate and Enter.

Select the User Defined option button to apply the new rates to your Australian securities.

Interest Rate Updates

Interest rates are included in the system data and can be updated at any time by running the Update Manager.

Interest rates for markets set as User Defined will not be updated by the system data.

Installation Note
When you first install Stock Investor, you must run the Update Manager in order to download the current  system data used to initially populate the Currencies, Cross Rates and Interest dialog boxes.
