Shared Utilities Overview

Within Stock Investor, there are a number of functions that can be accessed from more than one feature or that more than one feature relies upon.

Some of the utilities are system wide and are not directly accessed by any feature, but must be set and maintained correctly for the entire system to function. The most common of these are data related utilities. Other utilities function in the same way when used in different features.

In this section we have divided the shared utilities into Data Related tools and Work Related tools.

Work Related Tools

Following utilities are used in many of Stock Investor's features. The general functionality and appearance of the shared utilities are the same regardless of which feature you are using them in. For example, the process and effect of changing the default settings is the same wherever a Default button is found.
