Indicators

There is a comprehensive selection of Indicators available within Stock Investor.

Stock Investor has both Price indicators (preceded by a red P) and Fundamental indicators (preceded by a blue F).

Stock Investor has both price indicators, and comparative indicators. Price indicators use the price data of single symbols and apply a mathematical equation to produce the indicator's display. Comparative indicators use the price data for two symbols, and mathematically compare or apply them against each other to create the indicator.

For information on how indicators can be displayed, go to the Displaying Indicators help topic.

Using Indicators with Charts

The indicators in the top group of the Indicator's palette, are overlaid on the price chart.

Those in the bottom group do not refer to the price chart's price data and therefore have a different scale on the y-axis. Each of these indicators will be displayed in it's own small work pane, at the bottom of the price chart's work area.

All Indicators have similar formatting control features allowing the user to control the display of the indicator.

Go to the Indicator Properties help topic for more information.
