The Rating Criteria section of the Stock Investor Fundamental Rank tabbed page contains all the information used in the fundamental Rating/Ranking Process:

The overall rank indicated for the stock will displayed as a green graph and with the numeric ranking value to the right.
The result is calculated by adding together all the results that score a PASS from the six rating criteria. The criteria results are given slightly different weightings. The first four criteria results are weighted at 1.7, the last two criteria results (ROE and Quarterly Earnings) are weighted at 1.6.
In the above example, the calculation is as follows:
|
Total Debt/Equity |
PASS |
1.7 |
|
Return on Equity |
PASS |
1.6 |
|
Quarterly Earnings One Year Ago |
PASS |
1.6 |
|
Total Ranking Value |
4.9 | |
The green bar on the Ranking Indicator provides a visual display indicates the PASS rate on a scale of zero to ten.
The numeric SIFR Ranking Value displayed to the right of the indicator bar will display to the first digit.
Six individual fundamental analyses are included in Stock Investor. They are all listed in the Rating Criteria list:
Free Cash Flow Per Share
Price/Sales Per Share Ratio
Earnings Persistence
Total Debt/Equity Ratio
Return on Equity
Quarterly Earnings One Year Ago
Each fundamental analysis employs different criteria from a number of financial analysis ratios and a variety of fundamental data. The analysis uses complex algorithms to determine whether the stock's fundamental data passes or fails the predetermined levels set in the SIFR Model.
Details on the criteria employed, as well as the fundamental data, benchmark levels and objectives of the analysis, can be viewed for each Rating Criteria in the Rating Criteria Explanation section, see below.
The result for the individual criteria as applied to the current stock is indicated by a color-coded icon at the beginning of the criteria's tag and a text description at the end.
The Industry Benchmark, or the SIFR Model's predetermined result level, for each Ranking Criteria type is compared against each company's result for that criteria type.
Results of the company's performance is displayed in the Stock Investor Rating Status column on the right edge of the Rating Criteria list.
The results are color coded: PASS, FAIL or NO INFO
Single left-mouse click on one of the criteria types in the Rating Criteria list and details of the result will be displayed in the pane immediately below the list:

The criteria's name, Test Result, and Value of the result will be displayed first.
For those results that have a recognized industry rule of thumb, the Benchmark value will also be displayed.
Next will be an explanation of how the criteria was applied to the stock, and a description of which results are satisfactory and why.
An explanation of the objective, or rationale, in using the particular criteria is also often included in a second paragraph.
The price graph for the stock is displayed in Line Style.
It plots the previous four years of Daily Closing price data.
The Earnings Per Share, or EPS, graph for the past five years is displayed under the Price Chart.
The blue bars are the EPS levels for the stock, the pink line represents the average EPS level for the industry sector that the company is in.
The Dividends Per Share, or DPS, graph for the past five years is displayed under the Earnings Per Share chart.
The blue bars are the DPS levels for the stock, the pink line represents the average DPS level for the industry sector that the company is in.
