Windows Vista Installation Instructions for SI Software
Please follow these directions after installing the program, before trying to run the program. Windows Vista requires a slight change to the program properties in order to run Stock Investor Software correctly.
Once installed and you see the Stock Investor icon on your deskop:
- RIGHT click on the StockInvestor icon on your desktop, then click Properties
- Click on the Compatibility tab in the properties window
- Check the box that says Run this program as an administrator
- Click Apply, then OK
- Double click the StockInvestor icon on your desktop
- Once you get to the window that asks if you are using a Modem or LAN, click the Advanced connection settings button
- Check the round box next to HTTP
- Click OK, then click next in the setup window, and follow the directions as prompted.
