For the Cat Owner Who Wants It All (CNBC)
Japanese specialty drink manufacturer B&H has set out to capture a brand new niche for its company: the non-alcoholic wine market for cats. The wine is called Nyan Nyan (“Meow, Meow”) Nouveau, and is being sold in 180 ml bottles — that’s the size of the miniatures you get at the airport. Each goes for about 399 yen. The product was created at the behest of cat owners who were upset at the inequality of gifts available for dogs. And it appears that even though Nyan Nyan will be coming to market, there may still be a dearth of cat gifts, as only one cat in nine was interested in the beverage. It seems to be about the percentage of investors who may want to track this as well.
