Holiday Spending Plans Track Unemployment (Yahoo! Finance)

Manilla.com, a personal budgeting website, surveyed its users about their holiday spending plans. They found that in New England, where employment is relatively strong, users planned to spend considerably more than their users in the Southeast, where unemployment is relatively high. Manila.com’s users are in their mid-30’s to mid-40’s, married homeowners, and typically make about $68,000 per year.
