JPMorgan Chase & Co. Becomes Latest Triple-Crown Parade (Reuters)

Last year, the Detroit Tigers’ star Miguel Cabrera became the first baseball player in half a century to lead his league in batting average, home runs and runs batted in (RBI). This feat also earned Cabrera a most valuable player (MVP) honor. Well, if the investment bank industry awarded its own MVP, JPMorgan would win hands down for its dominant first-half performance, which included topping the industry in revenues from fixed income, equities and advisory service. So does that mean it is time to invest in JPMorgan? Not just yet, mind you, as the company is still being investigated for the “whale trade” scandal.
