Betting on a Silicon Valley-based Microcap and Locking in 15% Gains

This week’s Momentum Trader Alert recommendation takes us to Silicon Valley in the form of Nanometrics Inc. (NANO), a microcap technology play.

Founded in 1975, Nanometrics, Inc. is a leader in the design and manufacture of products for the semiconductor, data storage and flat panel display industries. Its leading products are thin film measurement and analysis tools used to analyze manufacturing quality at critical steps in the production process. These tools are crucial in ensuring the quality of a wide range of electronic products.

Nanometrics, Inc. (NANO) vs. the S&P 500 over the last six months.

Momentum Trader Alert Analysis

Recommendation

Buy Nanometrics, Inc. (NANO) at market today, and place your stop at $26.50. I am holding off on recommending options because the bid-ask spreads are too wide on this microcap stock.

Portfolio Update

Your holding in the Chemours Company (CC) had a big week, soaring 12.74% in the past five trading days. Raise your stop to $37.25 to lock in at least a 15% gain.

You were stopped out of Banco Santander (Brasil) S.A. (BSBR) at a loss.

Sincerely,

Nicholas A. Vardy
