I. Conservative Recommendation

Citigroup Inc. (C)

Citigroup — a holding in the Alpha Algorithm — broke out to the upside this past week.

Following a major restructuring and downsizing, Citigroup expects to see its earnings increase at a compound annual rate of about 20%. According to Barron’s, this could possibly double Citigroup’s share price over the next few years.

The stock is firing on all cylinders from a technical standpoint as well.

II. Aggressive Recommendation

CBOE Holdings, Inc. (CBOE)

CBOE Holdings, Inc. — a holding in Momentum Trader Alert — declared an increased quarterly cash dividend of $0.27 per share of common stock for the third quarter of 2017. That represents an 8% increase over the prior quarter’s dividend of $0.25 per share.

The third-quarter dividend is payable on September 15, 2017, to common stockholders of record as of September 1, 2017.

Technically, the stock is in a strong uptrend and scores 100% on all of the Momentum Trader Alert technical indicators.

Sincerely,

Nicholas A. Vardy
